Bloomfield, CT - Jacobs Vehicle Systems, the world's leading manufacturer of heavy-duty diesel engine retarding systems and valve actuation mechanisms, announced today that it has launched a new Engine Brake for the Cummins ISX 11.9 diesel engine.

The new Model 460 Engine Brake by Jacobs® was developed in conjunction with Cummins engineers to provide an engine brake which offers more retarding performance, less weight, fewer components and lower height than the Model 411E Engine Brake for the ISM engine.

The Model 460 Engine Brake is rated between 346 and 390 horsepower at 1,900 - 2,100 rpm respectively and will be offered as optional equipment, comprising of two engine brake housings and special exhaust valve bridges.
