Jacobs developed the JVS Model 615 Compression Release and Exhaust Brake Synergy for DFM dCi 11Diesel Engine. The Model 615 engine retarder (Jake Brake®) works on the Compression Release principle, actuating on a single exhaust valve and is an Exhaust Cam operated “Cross Motion” System. Model 615 is used in combination with the exhaust brake.
