Jacobs Vehicle Systems Earns Recognition as John Deere Innovation Award Winner
BLOOMFIELD, CT, USA – Jacobs Vehicle Systems® has been selected as a recipient of the John Deere Innovation Award for 2018. The award is presented to a select group of suppliers who have demonstrated innovation in a product or service they provide to John Deere.
Award selections are based on four factors: creativity, feasibility, collaboration, and bottom-line impact. John Deere created the Supplier Innovation Awards in 2009 to promote innovation in the company’s supply base and recognize suppliers who think creatively.
Based in Bloomfield, Connecticut, Jacobs Vehicle Systems is a technology supplier of engine braking, valve train technologies, and emissions solutions to John Deere’s Power Systems division. "Jacobs is delighted to receive this recognition from John Deere, which follows a multi-year collaboration between two world-leaders in innovation and excellence," said Steve Ernest, Vice President of Engineering and Business Development at Jacobs.
Jacobs accepted the recognition during formal ceremonies held on April 16th in Davenport, Iowa. Joining Steve Ernest at the event from Jacobs Vehicle Systems were Peter Jo, Development Manager; John Mandell, Project Engineer; and Bill Cortright, Business Manager.
