Success for Team Green Lemons

The Jake Brake sponsored race team found plenty of speed and success this season, with some trials and tribulations along the way. The 2018 schedule included endurance road course races at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park and New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

On a rain-soaked weekend in August, the team took the track at Thompson. In a field of 121 total cars, Team Green Lemons, as they are known, raced their way through traffic toward the front. Some 235 laps and nearly nine hours into the race, they ran P1 in their class (of 56) and were two full laps ahead of the second-place car. A fender rub forced them to the garage for some costly repairs. A strong Sunday allowed them to battle back to finish 6th in class for the event.

A chilly October weekend in New Hampshire also included a mix of success and challenges. Lap times were very strong all weekend, but in-race repairs to a brake line and power steering were too much to overcome. A finish of 18th (of 48) in class was tough to swallow after running second in this same event just two years ago.

Congrats to the team for their success this year!
