Jacobs High Power Density Engine Brake Specified by Chinese Truck Maker

BLOOMFIELD, CT, USA – Jacobs Vehicle Systems’ High Power Density® (HPD ®) engine brake has gone into production with a Chinese truck manufacturer. This is the first OEM application of HPD, launched in 2016, to be announced. The new Sinotruk Yellow River tractor unit, designed and manufactured by China National Heavy Duty Truck Company (CNHTC), integrates Jacobs’ HPD technology in its 11- and 13-liter engines.

Jacobs Vehicle Systems produces 50,000th engine brake at new Brno plant

Jacobs’ factory in Brno, Czech Republic, has manufactured its 50,000th engine brake, for Daimler, since opening in September 2019.

BLOOMFIELD, CT, USA – Jacobs Vehicle Systems, a worldwide manufacturer of heavy-duty diesel engine retarding and valve actuation systems, recently shipped the 50,000th engine brake manufactured at its newly opened European facility near Brno in the Czech Republic, to Daimler. Jacobs currently supplies all European Daimler orders from Brno.

Jacobs Engine Brakes Specified on New Hino Engine Assembled in China

BLOOMFIELD, CT, USA – Jacobs Vehicle Systems®, a global manufacturer of diesel and natural gas engine retarding systems and valve actuation mechanisms, will supply its compression release engine brake to Hino Motors (China) Co., Ltd. for its new 10.5-liter U11C diesel engine.

The engine is a new model for the Chinese market that is compliant with new China 6 emissions standards and will be specified on Hino trucks later this year.
